Places Rated

In seeking steady employment since graduating college in 1983, I have lived in many places. Some have been good, but others I was glad to leave. The "People" rating is based on the ease with which I made new friends, and was able to meet and date women. Here's my places rated ratings.

"House of Cards"

"House of Cards" CNBC documentary explains what happened with the mortgage and real estate meltdown. I wish I had known about the mortgage brokers raking in $20,000 a month in many cases, around 2001 thru 2006, many with no prior experience. I had tons of student loan debt, and I struggled to make the loan payments most of the decade, eking out a living in the chiropractic field. Now I feel really stupid. I should have been in this business.

I remember I tried to buy my first house around 2004-05, and I could not understand why the prices went way outta reach, and everybody had so much cash to spend, and homes were selling faster than I could call the realtors. Now I get it.

USA Continues March Toward Socialism

Reasons why California is broke, but nobody in the media will admit:

1. Illegal immigrants sucking up social services for years now
2. Tax and spend environment has driven big business out of state
3. Highly dependent on the real estate and mortgage markets
4. Legal and Illegal immigrants sending earnings out of state.
5. Crowded "justice" system

The rest of the U.S. will surely follow, for the exact same reasons.

States to Reaffirm States Rights

Even though you won't hear a word about it from the sell-outs in the major media outlets, a number of states, presumably in response to the socialists in Washington's attempts to turn the country into a cross between France and Brokeback Mountain, have introduced bills "affirming states rights based on Jeffersonian principles".

New Hampshire is the latest one. I guess that "Live Free or Die" motto is more than just a motto. You go New Hampshire! Read about it here.

Yeah Buddy! Let's hear it for states rights! Could this be the answer to open borders and border drug wars, the assault on the first and second amendments, and the glorification of single motherhood and the welfare state? Time will only tell.
